The Challenging Climb
Galibier Thabor is a combination of two famous French Cols – Galibier and Lautaret. With a total elevation gain of 2,564 meters, this challenging climb spans an impressive 25.7 kilometers. A Brief History
Galibier Thabor has a rich history that goes back to the early days of professional cycling. The first time it was included in the Tour de France was in 1911, and it has since become a legendary stage of the race. The climb was originally called Galibier, but in 1992, the Col de Lautaret was added to create a longer and more challenging ascent, resulting in the name Galibier Thabor.
